ConferenceGate Presents “Selling Consortium” of Audio Conferencing Service Providers

ConferenceGate Presents “Selling Consortium” of Audio Conferencing Service Providers

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) November 9, 2004

ConferenceGate, the Las Vegas-based division of Powercom and wholesale provider of audio conferencing services, has announced a “selling consortium” of conferencing service providers, targeting buyers seeking a customer acquisition advantage in the burgeoning data collaboration and web conferencing software services market. Aggregating over 20 million audio conferencing minutes per month, the consortium is led by ConferenceGate and includes both facilities-based conferencing providers and switch-less resellers.

Members of the selling consortium use Avaya (formerly Spectel) and Voyant (a division of Polycom) bridges to provide audio conferencing services and are currently located in multiple locations across the country.

Audio conferencing is the battlefield upon which the control for the data collaboration services market share will be won. “This opportunity is truly a single-stroke market-share maneuver for the buying company,” stated Herb Levitin, the President of Powercom in Santa Barbara, California. “The buyer benefits from owning and controlling a targeted customer list, rich in usage of data and audio conferencing revenue, to integrate and market new high margin data collaboration services, while simultaneously decreasing their competition’s market-share.”

The existing revenue base for ConferenceGate has a gross margin of plus 90 percent. Combine that with the audio conferencing market growing at 30 percent per year and it becomes clear why conferencing services providers hold the key to the growing data collaboration software services market.

“Our goal is to sell the combined traffic to a non-traditional buyer at a high multiple, consolidate all the bridges into our Las Vegas ConferenceGate facility using larger, more efficient bridges and provide free technological support along with a selfsame attractive toll-free rate for the buyer,” declared Mr. Levitin.

ConferenceGate is in partnership with the owners of the Las Vegas facility and is home to 22 carriers and the largest new Quality-of-Service-founded VoIP providers. “In addition to all of the voice carriers in our facility, we are the third largest facility in the country after Los Angeles and New York of Internet bandwidth,” said Levitin. “We are one router hop to every major population center in the country and since we have six upstream providers, we have ne’er been down since inception. As data collaboration and VoIP become more important along with reliability, we are the best and least expensive location to host a conferencing business.”

CollaborateMD Hits New Milestone: Practice Management Application Processes More Than 2 Million User Requests in a Single Day

CollaborateMD Hits New Milestone: Practice Management Application Processes More Than 2 Million User Requests in a Single Day

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 6, 2007

CollaborateMD (formerly ClaimGear), a directing provider of Internet-grinded ASP practice management and aesculapian billing software for the healthcare industry, today denoted that the company’s Java application and Oracle database dealt more than 2 million transactions on July 30, 2007, the most it has e’er processed in a single day. The 2,040,234 transactions affirm customer adoption and use of CollaborateMD ASP model.

CollaborateMD has been maintained a high level of performance through their practice management services even with transaction volume growing by double digits every year since inception. The CollaborateMD database has almost 200 million rows of data consisting of patients, insurance claims, payments, appointments, claim status, just to mention a few. In June 2007 CollaborateMD was pleased to reach another milestone by passing the 2 billion dollar mark value for insurance claimed processed since inception.

The CollaborateMD data center is only running at 19% capacity during peak times even with the continual increase in daily transactions. The data center speed and efficiency tinned be attributed to well projecting Java programming and high performance Oracle Database in combination with the highly stable Red Hat Linux operating system. The combination of these three factored has allowed CollaborateMD to increase performance and scalability of their practice management solutions while keeping data center hardware costs down.

“Delivering over 2 million transactions in a single day demonstrates that customers are using our practice management application as the trusted standard for running their medical office or billing service over the Internet,” said Douglas Kegler, President and Founder of CollaborateMD. “We look forward to our continued growth and serving the healthcare community well into the future.”

Customer Interfacing Delivers Reliability and Performance

CollaborateMD transaction growth is in part due to increased interfaces with numerous business partners. Through a standard HL7 interface protocol, CollaborateMD allows business partners to transmit patient, appointments and charge capture data seamlessly between the applications. The medical billing software saves medical offices and billing services time, money, and more importantly reduces data entry errors.

The medical billing software’s efficiency and reliability can best be seen through the use by RediClinic, a national chain of in-store convenient care clinics. The in-store clinics are located around the country and securely transmit patient and insurance claim data directly into the CollaborateMD servers in real-time. The billing service customer of CollaborateMD, contracted by RediClinic, reviews the transmitted data and once approved is flagged to be sent to RelayHealth. RelayHealth, a division of McKesson, has been utilized by CollaborateMD for all of their healthcare transaction processing needs since 2001. CollaborateMD expects a continued increase in data processed through interfacing largely due to the anticipated opening of hundreds, possible thousands, of RediClinic’s in WalMart, H.E.B., Duane-Read, and other stores over the next decade.

CollaborateMD noted they are currently working on a very significant and essential vendor interface that will greatly enhance collaboration between CollaborateMD, physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, and patients and expects to release the news later this quarter.

Doing a Lot with Web Conferencing Software

We’ve all heard the telling that a little goes a retentive way. As it turns away, in the case of web conferencing software it is really truthful. Unlike so many types of software that do specific functions, it really gives users a variety of options for passing and amending workflow. One principal choice users of web conference application have to do is to go with installable software or not. The terminal decision will truly am on what you desire it to do. Whatever you determine, you will find that web conferencing brings a lot of flexibility to your operation.

Technical Support

Many companies use their web conferencing software to provide technical support to customers. It makes real time interaction simple, and step by step assistance can be easily provided. The customer can also ask questions where necessary. Some software options, like RHUB Communication’s TurboMeeting 4.1 have a Run As Admin feature. This gives the support technician ‘administrator access’ to the user’s PC. This will facilitate the quick resolution of problems, even if the user has no administrator privileges.

Streaming video

Displaying video files is an easygoing way to jazz up any presentation. Naturally some software options manage video better than others. In some cases video files can be stored for later retrieval later. The video can likewise compete a role in the conference itself, so participants can really glimpse the persons they are talking to. The host will set restrictions if any, but controls change depending on the type of software.

Audio Conferencing

Not every type of meeting requires video. Audio conferencing is basically web conferencing without the additional bells and whistles. With this feature, instructions can be given to a number of people at the same time. Sales updates or any other relevant company information can also be quickly disseminated.

File Sharing

Some companies needs to constantly move files around as part of their normal workflow. Web conferencing software makes this a pretty simple task. Formats include document files, PDFs, and video or audio files. Workers can also share desktops so that others can view what is displayed on their screen. This is also handy when a manager wants to post notes or instructions to multiple parties.

There are a multitude of benefits to be derived from sharing a virtual workspace. Not the least of these is the decreased likelihood of clashing of personalities. This tin disrupt a meeting and create tension in the workplace. However, netting conferencing software gets things done without all the headaches of face-to-face encountered.

Given the number of options available, examine your company’s needs before making a decision one way or the other. Fortunately, netting conferencing software is not as expensive as it used to be, and boasts more advanced features. Whether you decide on a RHUB product or some other company’s, ensure that it has the features and communication options that your organization needs to be productive.
